Thursday 27th October saw a by-election in Wednesbury South Ward following the resignation of the previous councillor.

We were absolutely delighted to see Jenny Chidley elected with over 50% of the vote and to maintain three Labour councillors in the ward.

Jenny was previously a councillor in Princes End and has a proven track record of working with communities and advocating for them.

The biggest thank you has to go to the residents of Wednesbury South who have put their faith in Jenny and Sandwell Labour, but it’d be remiss of us to not also thank the many volunteers who came from across the region and beyond to help secure the victory.
