We have today launched our new manifesto for 2023 which sets out our promises for the coming municipal year and beyond.
We have set out that we are committed to creating a Child Friendly Sandwell, having effective neighbourhood working, being a dementia friendly borough, exploring borough-wide licensing for HMOs, continuing to invest to improve the quality of our green spaces and continuing to support our residents through the cost of living crisis.
We want Sandwell to be a place that people are proud to call home, where people thrive and have the best possible opportunities. Many of these pledges will take some time to deliver, they’re not quick fix solutions, they’re part of a long term plan to improve our borough and our lives.
In addition to our manifesto pledges, we will continue delivering on our medium and long-term objectives, including some of the ongoing manifesto pledges from 2022, around the climate change agenda, school building programmes, tree planting, active communities, house building and attracting investment for regeneration including working towards establishing a university campus in Sandwell.
